Are your sessions group or 1 to 1?
Our sessions are always 1:1 so your child’s lessons are tailored to your child’s learning needs and interests to ensure they are engaged and, most importantly, learn how to learn in ways that are most helpful for them.
What are your tutors’ qualifications and experiences working with Special Needs students?
As provincially certified teachers who tutor, they have experience with diverse learners and believe that all students learn differently.
Experiences with specific learning and behavioural needs vary so please speak to one of our team members before booking.

How will the tutor help my child succeed?
Personalized Online Tutoring: Before starting any sessions, you'll receive a FREE Meet and Greet with one of our certified online tutors. During this meeting, you'll discuss your child's learning goals, and the tutor will outline a customized online tutoring plan designed to help achieve those goals.
Tailored Learning Plans: In the first few sessions, our experienced online tutor will assess your child's strengths and areas for improvement. They’ll also collaborate with your child’s classroom teacher (if available) to align tutoring with school objectives. Using our Success Strategy template, the tutor will create a personalized learning plan that targets your child's specific needs, focusing on both past and upcoming concepts.
Boost in Academic Confidence: Struggling with grades can affect a student’s self-esteem. Our online tutors not only focus on improving academic performance but also on boosting your child’s confidence. Through targeted support, progress tracking, and introducing key concepts ahead of classroom instruction, we help your child build the confidence they need to succeed in school. If support with academics isn’t all they need help with, our tutors can help your child get organized, prepare for tests, and set goals for the school year.
Progress Monitoring: Tracking academic progress is essential to your child’s success. With our Success Strategy, we regularly update their progress after each session, identifying areas of improvement and celebrating milestones. This approach keeps you and your child informed, motivated, and engaged throughout their learning journey.
Additional Support: When your child is identified, it can be a very overwhelming process! Our experienced educators can guide you through your child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), answer your questions, and ensure the right strategies are in place for your child's success. This service, the IEP Review Meeting, is highly recommended for families feeling overwhelmed and seeking expert guidance ahead of an upcoming school meeting.
We also offer a one-time 60-minute educational assessment for students in grades 1-8. This provides you with a quick, yet comprehensive, overview of your child’s strengths and learning gaps in a particular subject.
Convenient Online Learning Environment: Our online tutoring services offer the convenience of learning from home, providing a comfortable and distraction-free environment. 1 to 1 online tutoring can be a great fit for students with social anxiety, ASD or other special needs that make it challenging to get support in group settings or person.
This flexibility also allows your child to access one-on-one tutoring sessions from anywhere with an internet connection, making it easier to fit personalized learning into your family’s schedule.
