We're excited to introduce two 6-week mindfulness courses designed to help children aged 6 to 11 navigate their emotions and find inner peace.
Mindfulness Course for Younger Kids (ages 6-8)
This 6-week course focuses on several topics including:
Week 1 Mindful vs MindFULL: they will learn about the different parts of the brain and how to calm their nervous system.
Week 2 Breathing in New Ways: your child will learn about meditation and how to increase their attention span and focus.
Week 3 The Power of Our Thoughts: they will understand their thought processes, learn how to get past limiting beliefs and make good choices based on their values.
Week 4 Cultivating Gratitude: your child will get guidance on how to feel more positive emotions, gain a deeper sense of self-worth and build stronger relationships.
Week 5 Processing Emotions: your child will learn how to process and express their emotions in healthy ways.
Week 6 Practicing Empathy: they will understand and practice social cues. They will learn how to use creative practices to better understand others and express themselves.
Mindfulness Course for Older Kids (ages 9-11)
This 6-week course focuses on several topics including:
Week 1 Being MindFULL vs. Mindful: they will learn the benefits of mindfulness and how they can practice mindfulness using their 5 senses.
Week 2 Different Ways to Breathe: they will learn about breath and the different ways they can use it to practice mindfulness.
Week 3 The Power of Our Thoughts: they will learn about thoughts and how they can affect their feelings and actions. They will also learn about mindfulness thought practice to manage negative thoughts.
Week 4 The Needs vs The Haves vs The Wants and Gratitude: they will learn the difference between needs, have and wants. They will also learn about the power of gratitude to be happier.
Week 5 All About the Brain (& Mindfulness): they will learn about the different parts of the brain and how practicing mindfulness affects the brain.
Week 6 Empathy vs Sympathy and Better Understanding Others: they will learn the difference between empathy and sympathy. They will also learn about empathic communication to help them respond empathetically.
Sessions can be 1:1 or small groups.
During weekly sessions, your child will explore engaging activities, and keep a personalized mindfulness journal, which will help them foster a deeper understanding of their emotions and thoughts.
