We offer a comprehensive assessment for students in grades 1-8 to help parents understand their child's unique learning gaps and strengths. The educational assessment is conducted by a teacher, certified in your province, and provides a detailed analysis of your child’s performance in that subject.

What specific skills will the assessment evaluate?
Each assessment covers one subject in depth focusing on:
Academic Skills: They will be evaluated on specific concepts and foundational skills across the curriculum.
Strengths: They will explain how your child demonstrated their learning best and executed the task(s) effectively.
Gaps: They will provide feedback about areas your child can make improvements to be more successful with this subject, whether it’s academic skills, confidence, or time management.
Additional Skills: They may explore communication, organization, or time management to provide a well-rounded understanding of your child's abilities.

Do I need to get an educational assessment done to sign up for tutoring sessions? Or do I have to sign up for tutoring sessions if I get an educational assessment done?
No and no! The educational assessment is a snapshot of your child’s current learning level. You can use this to support your child independently at home or share it with their teachers at school.
If I sign my child up for tutoring, do you offer any assessments or customized learning plan?
Yes! If you sign up for weekly sessions, our online tutor will assess your child over a few sessions and create a tailored learning plan, referred to as a Success Strategy. The Success Strategy is a game plan that is a work in progress and outlines the specific areas they’ll be working on together over the next 10-15 sessions. You receive feedback on your child’s progress after each session.
How long does the assessment process take, and what should we expect?
The assessment is 60 minutes with an online teacher who will assess your child in a variety of skills using different activities. After the hour, the teacher will complete their one-page comprehensive report which will be emailed to you within a day or two for review.
